![]() But it’s all fun and definitely does its job of livening things up. The main title music is straight from a Mumford and Sons jam session, which may or may not be to your taste. These are faithful representations of the genres, all with an extra wedge of cheese thrown in. All the music has been produced specifically for the game, no licensing here, but spread across three different radio stations are rock, pop, country and electro impressions. It does take a while to get into a rhythm of what to do and when to do it, but once you start getting accustomed with the many different vehicles and crop types, you can turn over a tidy profit fairly quickly.Īccompanying the cockpit of all these impressively recreated tractors and harvesters is a really fun soundtrack. There are also a number of staple farmyard animals to care for, but these need purchasing with your profits you only start off with chickens at the beginning. The wide range of activities and the vast number of licensed vehicles is enough to keep any purist busy for a long time as they sow, fertilise, grow and cut their crops. However, this is by no means a majorly bad problem as the actual farming gameplay is very solid. But Farming Simulator draws a firm line in the sand and really prevents any such sort of perversion. Building a roller coaster that isn’t a complete track, or releasing a lion into a crowded zoo. This perversion of the game is standard to any type of simulation game, as the player tries to have more fun with the gameplay, eg. No, this game is doing exactly what the title suggests and is purely a Farming Simulator. ![]() ![]() I did manage to chainsaw all the trees down a suburban street, but the only thing this did was then make it impossible to drive down it. You can purchase a chainsaw from the store, but again, every animal is impervious to it. Understandably, some of the vehicles around your farm have rear wheel steering, but almost all the cars drive like they do, proving very difficult to get from A to B. Your car does take flight when you speed off a cliff, but the steering is so bad you wish it would just spontaneously combust like a classic Bond film car does when pushed off the hill. Any car you bash into causes you to rebound off, even with a tractor, whilst pedestrians just phase through the car. ![]() Much smoother gaming experience, especially if you have a "full size" joystick in the setup.Turns out, not a lot! Your pickup truck is located right next to where you spawn, but there is precious little you can do with it, except drive. When using both wheel + joystick one is able to steer (with large inputs on the wheel) and still be able to control a front loader (while driving). With a joystick you should be able to be more precise in the movement. I would imagine that the controls over cranes and front loaders is a bit jerky (just like trying to operate them using the keyboard). If remapped right, you only need the leftside of the controller (LS) for walking around but then if you use a PCB Board then wow, you only need one joystick for LS, DP & RS Same with Unload Here R1+R2+, simple as, same for cruise control, even unfold seeder R2+A If you remap L1 to R2 then you just hold R2 while moving RS to move frontloader in bucket, then to operate logging forks etc at same time, hold R1, R2 and move RS, then you operate all functions at once, With a steering wheel in pedals, why do you need to pick the controller up? To look around all you have to do is move RS? Cant wait to move to PC so i can use my wheel alongside a joystick for controlling the camera/loader. Mr.Smoke wrote:I tried my G29 on PS4 and it worked great, my only gripe was having to pick up the controller when i needed the right joystick to adjust camera or work loader arms.
